A strategic product design & management consulting Group for the fashion industry. After 10 years in operations, Angora Group was looking for a fresh take on its visual, messaging, & operational business strategy. It was hard to find it & understand it’s services online–and what the public did find, didn’t translate or connect with its in-person offering, which is the best of it’s class. A full business strategy & consulting operational revamp, accompanied by a full visual & communication’s rebrand, coupled with a web & social media overhaul, this process took over a year to bring to fruition & is one of a+’s proudest–and most dramatic make-overs to date.

Inspired by science meets nature, Angora Group’s work lies at the intersection of creating beauty from where form meets function. They seek to create alchemy between material & the artisans who transform it, all together to help bring a client’s vision to life. Because AG’s projects are top-secret, we had to find a way to show, not tell, as well as communicate the company’s taste-level & expertise while not relying on product shots & consulting buzz-words.

Science meets nature: the periodic table, the anatomy of a fiber, the subtly and magical nuance of fabric floating in the wind. Personality wise, we wanted to strike a cord with the institutional gravitas as well as quality order of an archive, coupled with the inclusivity & hands-on experience of an educational organization. Additional inspiration was taken from editorial & fashion magazines from the 70s-90s.

A color palette fit for a technicolor loom, we wanted to use color to illustrate the design spectrum in which Angora can operate & innovate within.

Bespoke “system” grids, as well as measurement symbols were created & sourced in order to visually illustrate the level of strategic & technical engineering Angora creates & establishes on a tactical level. Angora sources the whole team, from beginning to end, to build a brand from scratch, or optimize operations to bring products to life.

A sophisticated symphony of typographical language was created by the fantastic triangulation of Dark Paradise, Monument Extended, and Manrope. The depth, dexterity, and dynamic visual layering created, represents the multi-faceted elements required of making product from scratch.

“Show not Tell” is our mantra. For this reason, we sought to create an effortless, but highly specific series of representative custom illustrations to visualize Angora’s process. The result was a concise storytelling tool depicting a honed & perfected methodology created over years of experience, distilled down to its essence, elegantly animated to perfection, resulting in: “Angora’s Product Lifecycle Animation,” a first-ever visualization of Angora’s process – without revealing any trade secrets.
